It was on a Tuesday this past summer that I was out for a walk in my neighborhood, I happened to pass by the old schoolhouse and noticed that a tree had snapped and landed in front of it just a few inches away from the doorstep. As I was walking back home I ran into one of my neighbors and she told me that a tree company was supposedly coming to clean it up this weekend and the cause of the snap was a freak windstorm we had a couple weeks back, which caused the aging oak to snap in half and crash in front of the old building.
